Here is my Image Layer Editor Preset Tutorial. I hope you find it useful. It is by no means perfect and I mostly made it so I had some reference for my own personal use and not forget the procedure. Feel free to critique it and point out any problems or ways to do things better
1) In Photoshop open the texture and using the shape tool apply whatever shapes you like in what color you like and position them

2) Click the eye icon to make all layers you don’t want to show invisible and apply a Gaussian Blur of about 5 and save teh file in the same place as the texture you used as a png

3) In Daz go to the surfaces tab and right click to open the image layer editor

4) Choose Insert Layer and select the texture you wish to apply the tattoo png layer to

5) Zoom to fit

6) Insert another layer and browse to the png file you want to place

7) Save the file as a dsi in the same folder as the texture and the png

From the desired Texture surface 1_SkinFace in this example Diffuse,

9) browse to the dsi file you just saved and select it

10) In the content library click the + symbol and open Layered Image Preset

11) Check the dsi it offers you to save

12) Save the dsb in the folder of your choosing

13) Create GREAT 3D Art at Home with ease!
